For those paying by card on overseas sites

When using a Japanese credit card on an overseas e-commerce site (online shopping), the card company's fraud detection system often activates and automatically blocks (rejects) the payment.

In order to complete your shopping smoothly, we strongly recommend that you contact us in advance by following the steps below.

1. Tell your credit card company that you plan to use the card.
This is the most reliable measure. By letting the cardholder know that they will be using the card overseas, they can temporarily disable the security lock.

Contact information: Phone number on the back of the card or cardholder-only website/app

What to say:

"I have plans to shop on overseas sites."
"Scheduled date of use (or period)"
"Approximate payment amount"

2. Why is advance notice necessary?
Credit card companies monitor suspicious activity 24 hours a day. If a payment is suddenly made on an overseas site with a card that has never been used overseas, the system will determine that the card information has been stolen and misused, and stop the payment to protect your assets.

3. If payment becomes unavailable without contacting us
If you receive a payment error, please contact your credit card company immediately without forcing yourself to retry. If you can verify your identity, you can have the restriction removed immediately.
